The EU ERASMUS + programme supports the personal and professional development of students, trainees, and staff in the fields of education and training. With an annual budget of €4.3 billion, the programme contributes to the European Skills Agenda, focusing on social inclusion and digital and green transitions.
The Learning Mobility action of the programme offers transnational developmental opportunities to participants in higher education, vocational education and training and schools across the 27 EU countries.
This includes study in education and training institutions, company work experiences, and collaborative online learning. The duration of placements for students may vary between 5 to 30 days or 2 to 12 months. The EU Commission recently announced an increase in participant grant support for mobility, making participation more attractive.
