The L&DI has over 2,000 members involved with human resource training and development, working in business, industry, consultancy, voluntary, community, education, and the public sector. Responding to the Budget 2024 Statement, Sinead Heneghan, CEO L&DI, commented:“Learning and Development Institute welcomes the additional investment in 16,000 places next year for the craft apprenticeship system to grow the capacity to deliver on housing and climate change priorities. L&DI supports increased investment in upskilling employees’ job-skills profiles for the "green economy.”“The additional resources for a more inclusive education system in terms of increased numbers of teachers and Special Needs Assistants for those pupils with special education needs are welcome.
